Present<\/strong>: Rick Huber, Chris Tuchscherer, Holly Johnson, Wayne Johnson, Robby Rosselli, and Drew Christianson. Kelly Duchsherer attended via phone. Meeting called to order at 7:00pm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minutes<\/strong>:<\/strong> The August 11, 2026 meeting minutes were presented and motioned with second to accept as revised. Motion carried by voice vote.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guests<\/strong>: Roy Miller, Tiffany Aho, Bonnie Joern, Becky Medler, Lonn & Kyler Satran (arrived at 8:17pm)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Roy Miller asked about losing money on race nights. Kelly discussed confidentiality of numbers being discussed prior to the meeting minutes being approved.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n

    1. Asked for draft meeting minutes prior to the meeting they are approved at.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. She still has not received the financials or the audit report she previously requested.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Discussion on sharing of information to members occurred, and that this information is required to be provided upon request.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Asked about the Compact Raffle money being deposited, which Kelly reported was deposited.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Bonnie Joern\n

      1. Asked about the HOF 50\/50 Raffle permit held under what name. A permit in Google Drive from July 2023 shows \u2018Nodak Speedway Hall of Fame\u2019 as the name of the group.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Discussed HOF being its own entity.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. HOF Savings account balance was discussed.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Bonnie also asked about a spectator being banned from the grandstand.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      5. Lonn Satran\n

        1. DTF and Versatile will not sponsor Nodak or supply a tractor in 2027.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. He asked about shortened Modified race on 8\/16.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Advertising for All-Stars was discussed, and consensus was that advertising was poor.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          1. Hall of Fame (Kadi Ruby)<\/strong> –\n

            1. Induction Ceremony & HOF Night are still being planned.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            2. Memorial weekend 2027 might be a preference for the 75th Anniversary.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            3. Discussion occurred about the Chair of HOF inclusion of remaining Committee members and lack of communication.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            4. Membership (Chris)<\/strong> – No updates. Teri McDaniels remains under further investigation and consideration.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            5. Governance\/Bylaws (Holly)<\/strong> – no updates<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              Race Weekend Recap (8\/16)<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

              1. Racing was excellent with many cars being able to drive from the back of the pack to the front of the pack.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              2. Modified feature race was shortened to 30 laps due to drivers being concerned about fuel capacity.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              3. All-Stars Overall: hurts us not to have the big sponsorships on big payout nights, purse was not cut in half even though registration fee was cut in half.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                Treasurer\u2019s Report<\/strong>: No Treasurer\u2019s Report presented due to Treasurer illness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                Unfinished Business:<\/strong>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                1. WoO Sprints (August 30, 2026)<\/strong>\n
                    \n
                  • Discussed volunteers needed for the event. Do not need an anthem singer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • We are responsible for flagmen for all of it, and will have flagmen be Race Director for Stocks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • Motor Magic (Sept 4-6, 2026)<\/strong>\n
                      \n
                    • Request received for Dacotah Hobbys to run with our IMCA Hobbys. Weight differences are an issue, as well as rule differences. Consensus was to stick with IMCA classes.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                    • Reserved pit stalls will be used for drivers who owned them this season.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                    • Registration fees per class like last year.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                    • Pill redraw for $10 up to 2 times.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                    • Lineups are straight up.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                    • No refunds given if you wreck and have purchased 3-day registration.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                    • No 3-day pit passes for pitcrew.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                    • The outside pit fence needs to go up after Outlaws.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                    • Awards & Banquet (October 24, 2026)<\/strong>\n
                        \n
                      • Food bids received for Qdoba, Olive Garden, Homesteaders and Wings & Rings. Aim to decide by Motor Magic or immediately following Motor Magic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                      • Band\/DJ discussed. We should have some sort of entertainment, or partner with a bar following the banquet.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                      • Maggie won\u2019t be available for photos during the event, but Holly can cover if no one else wants to do it.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n

                        • 2027 Season Schedule – NOSA is interested in coming opening night.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
