The April 2, 2024 minutes were presented and accepted as written by motion.<\/p>\n

Treasurer\u2019s Report<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Treasurer\u2019s Report was presented for discussion and review. Motion and second to approve the bills. Motion carried.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Clarification was made with regard to the clububerHuber\u2019s profit vs. non-profit status. Since the club does not have shareholders and board members who profit from the club, the State of North Dakota considers the entity a non-profit, even though the club is not a charity. The club does file a Form 1120 each year and pays federal and state taxes. \u00a0<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Business to Discuss<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n

  1. Scott Lovejoy attended the meeting to let the board know that he will do the race photography for the 2024 season. Expectations were discussed to ensure that Facebook is updated on Monday after the race.<\/li>\n
  2. Car Show security is in place.<\/li>\n
  3. Sign board for Harris Oil will go in the hot pits.<\/li>\n
  4. The car show is April 20 & 21.<\/li>\n
  5. All tracks contacted with regard to a compact car tour are on board. Tracks participating are Bottineau, Mandan, Underwood and Minot. To qualify for the season ending purse, all compacts must attend all scheduled races at all four tracks.<\/li>\n
  6. Dakota Square Mall contacted the club asking we would be interested in displaying cars. After discussion, the board agreed to pass on this offer.<\/li>\n
  7. Motion and second to pay for the track work for the 2024 season. Motion carried.<\/li>\n
  8. Trackside will be required to purchase pit passes for anyone working his trailer this year.<\/li>\n
  9. Clarification on what is expected in the pit trailer was discussed. Laurie Johnson will be in charge of the trailer and will work closely with the board to ensure security is maintained.<\/li>\n
  10. Suggestion to the board that recognition needs to be given to the filler cars through 10th<\/sup> place at the annual banquet. Discussion will be tabled to a later date when banquet planning starts.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The next Executive Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 7:00 pm at the Clarion.<\/p>\n
