The August 8, 2023 minutes were presented and accepted as written by motion.

Treasurer’s Report

The Treasurer’s Report was presented for discussion and review. Motion and uberHubersecond to pay the bills. Motion carried.  

Old Business 

None.

New Business

1. Bruce Rudland inquired who would be the point of contact for track prep on Sunday. Chris indicated he has a plan and would get Bruce the contact information prior to Sunday.
2. There is a horse relay race scheduled on September 16-17 and the state fair would like Nodak to prep a portion of the race track for the horse race. Justin will meet with the state fair in regard to this request as all of the track prep equipment is maintained, winterized and stored after Motor Magic.
3. Brenda Fedyk will be at Motor Magic to present extra purse money for the Saturday, September 2nd race. Payouts are $200 for first place, $125 for second place and $200 for 14th place. Classes are Hobby Stocks, Sport Mods, Stock Cars and Mods.
4. The latest pass the helmet money collected will be given to the family at their house.
5. Motor Magic draw/redraw format will be handled by Bruce Rudland and Rick Huber.
6. A rough draft of the 2024 Race schedule needs to be put together to present to the annual meeting later this fall.
7. Grandstand passes and Pit passes for 2024 will be printed and ready by the banquet. Grandstand passes are $200 for 18 punches, Pit passes are $425.
8. Justin will be meeting with the state fair to finalize the contract for the banquet and the contract for the 2024 car show.

The next Executive Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 7:00 pm at the Clarion.

The July 31, 2023 minutes were presented and accepted as written by motion.

Treasurer’s Report

The Treasurer’s Report was presented for discussion and review. Motion and second to pay the bills. Motion carried.  

Old Business

1. Race Recap.
   • Only three classes were run; sport compact, hobby stocks, legends.
   • There were some concerns within the hobby stock class and will be addressed if they persist.

New Business

1. Derek Kamlitz from Valve Cover Racing attended to ask the board if he could bring this event to Motor Magic. The board has no issue with this and will find a place for his setup. This race is similar to the boys scouts pinewood derby.
2. There was a Buy One Get One Free voucher that came through. Justin will contact Adam to see if he can assist the board with cancelling this offer going forward.
3. The board is looking to do a Fan Appreciation Night. This discussion will be tabled to a later meeting.
4. The club needs to start shopping for a sheepsfoot to assist with track prep.

The July 17, 2023 minutes were presented and accepted as written by motion.

Treasurer’s Report

The Treasurer’s Report was presented for discussion and review. Motion and uberHubersecond to pay the bills. Motion carried.  

Old Business

1. Race Recap.
   • Demo Derby show had some issues but Sam was able to get them resolved. Overall, show received mixed reviews.

New Business

1. Kadi Ruby attended to present costs for this year’s HOF inductee event. The quote for the trophies and cards from Neiss Impressions is $1347.05. The quote for the jackets from Stevick are $265/jacket with the full back. Motion and second to have Kadi order the items for the event. Motion carried.
2. Kadi also mentioned that along with the 50/50 raffle for next year, the HOF committee will also do a calendar with a daily drawing.
3. HOF night will be Saturday of Motor Magic.
