The August 29, 2023 minutes were presented and accepted as written by motion .

Treasurer’s Report

The Treasurer’s Report was presented for discussion and review. Motion and uberHubersecond to pay the bills. Motion carried.  

Old/New Business 

1. Motor Magic weekend was reviewed.
2. Windows were left down on the equipment. Water to the hydrant was left on. There was also quite a bit of garbage left on the infield.
3. Awards Banquet
   • Homesteaders has been confirmed to cater the banquet.
   • Class awards were reviewed and voted on.
   • Championship shirts have been ordered.
   • Hall of Fame members only, board members plus one and volunteers do not pay to attend the banquet. Paid employees and all others pay $30/person. This includes any guests that attend with an HOF member. Kids 12 and under are $15.
   • Items for silent auction and live auction are being collected.
4. Pit signs, pit trailer and souvenir trailer need to be put away. All track prep equipment needs to be winterized and put away.

Next Meeting

The next Executive Board meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 25, 2023 at 7:00 pm at the Clarion.

The August 22, 2023 minutes were presented and accepted as written by motion.

Treasurer’s Report

The Treasurer’s Report was presented for discussion and review. Motion and seconduberHuber to pay the bills. Motion carried.  

Old Business 

None.

New Business

1. Motor Magic draw/redraw will be handled by Bruce Rudland, Rick Huber and Jen Rivinius. The format will be straight up draw.
2. Motor Magic
   • Tech will be done all three nights. The club was approached to help with travel expenses for techs to travel to Boone, IA. The board has declined this request as it was IMCA who extended the invitation to the techs.
   • Slingshots will race Saturday and Sunday. Payouts will be paid out both nights and the amounts are based on the amount of donations collected. Donations have been received from Badlands-$150; Optimum Ag-$300; Chris Anderson-$350; Kelly Bertsch-$100.
   • The Hobby Stock class went green to checkered in the 8/27 feature race. Darn TV will pay the Motor Magic Friday night entry fee for the qualified drivers.
   • Grandstand ticket prices will remain the same as the regular season.
3. Race receiver radio check will be done prior to the first heat race to ensure all drivers are dialed in.
4. Renae Korslien of NDSF is retiring effective mid September. The board/club will send an arrangement as a thank you for her years of service.
5. Bishop Ryan Gala has asked for donations for their event. A hat and t-shirt will be donated.
6. Rick will reach out to Homesteaders to cater the awards banquet this year. Kristi Rosselli-Sullivan will emcee the event again.
7. Motor Magic trophies are ready and in the Nodak building.
