February 13, 2018 Board Meeting Minutes Sleep Inn
All board members were present.
Four guests were in attendance.
Meeting was called to order at 7:01 pm.
Motion was made to approve the February 5, 2018 meeting minutes. It was approved.
Thanks to everyone for their help at the car show.
Discussion on car show. Maybe an option is to shorten it a bit. There were 1,040 people there Saturday
and 667 on Sunday. Discussion on what to add to Sunday to get more people there. Swap Meet. Do we
want to keep it?
Motor Magic Meeting. They are bringing back Darryl’s Racing Pigs. They are making shirts for all the
vendors to give away also. It’s a good form of advertising. Motion was made to give $1,000 to Motor
Magic for advertising. It was approved.
Financial Report. Bills were presented and paid.
Discussion on the track. Do we want to move the berm? Put tires down around the bottom? What about
the concrete barriers? Still discussing our options.
Start time. At the general meeting it was half and half for 6:00 and 7:00. Motion was made that we race
at 6:00 in May and go to 7:00 the rest of the year. Motion carried.
Motion was made to adjourn.
Meeting adjourned at 9:50 pm.
Next meeting will be Monday, February 19, 2018 at 7:00 pm at the Sleep Inn.
