The June 14, 2022 minutes were presented and accepted as written by motion.

Treasurer’s Report

The Treasurer’s Report was presented for discussion and review. A motion to approve pending bills. Motion carried.

Old Business

Brandon will put together the numbers from the push up fundraiser and shirt sales to ascertain the amount to be given to Trinity Health Foundation Cancer Center.

Discussion was held for changing the format for Hobby Stock qualifying on the July 4th race. Format would be a time trial/King of the Hill feature with top qualifiers earning additional money. This format was used on the Topless night and it went over well. Motion made and second by to run this format with double purse and a $20 entry fee. Motion carried. Brandon checked with IMCA and this would be a sanctioned race.

Catwalk is 80% complete. Mike from Security Fence will be giving us material to complete the project. The staircase will be moved to be attached on Wednesday, June 29th and Jeff asked for help to get this done. Security Fence will then need to come in to move the gate to the staircase. 

New Business

Motion and second to donate $5000 to the Minot Fireworks Association for the fireworks display after the July 4th race. Motion carried.

Water Truck and Fire Truck

The pump on the water truck is now fixed.

The clutch may need to be adjusted on the big water truck.

The tank that was going to be purchased for the fire truck was sold but another tank was found for $300 more and will be purchased.

Hall of Fame

The VFW volunteered at the 50/50 booth with a verbal agreement that the earnings for that evening would be donated. A check for $329 will be made out to the VFW District 3.

So far, $1583 has been generated from the 50/50 booth. This amount includes the donation to the VFW.

The HOF committee would like to induct the 2021 inductees on Saturday, September 3rd during the race intermission.

The HOF’s first advancement would be a Wall of Hall of Famers under the grandstand. Brandon will have to meet with the state fair to work out details.

Fan voting is now up and running. Voting closes on Saturday, July 2nd at 11:59 pm.

The HOF Committee vote for the 2022 inductees has been tentatively scheduled for Thursday, July 7th at 7:00 pm.

Next Meeting

The next Executive Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 7:00 pm at the Clarion Hotel.
