Present: President Justin Medler, Vice President Robby Rosselli, Secretary Holly Johnson, Treasurer Kelly Duchsherer, 2-Year Board Member Rick Huber, 2-Year Board Member Scott Joern, and 1-Year Board Member Wayne Johnson. Twenty-five other people/race club members were present.
Meeting Call to Order: President Justin Medler, called the meeting to order at 1:02 pm.
Minutes: Motion by Tom Henderson, second by Lonn Satran, to approve General Meeting minutes from October 20, 2024 as written. Motion carried.
General Meeting Topics:

- These two have been doing a lot of work behind the scenes to organize everything and get the club run more efficiently.
- Financials
- 2025 will be a projected $750,000 in expenses for the race season.
- Total Balance = $176,974.12
- Checking account = $92,896.10
- CDs = $84,078.02
- Hall of Fame Savings Account = $14,143.14
- Hall of Fame Wall will be a $25,000-$30,000 expense. Minot Sash & Door is building/installing in the Fall of 2025.
- 2025 Schedule
- 22 nights
- Practice on Sunday, April 13th
- NOSA Sprints coming on May 4th
- Racing at 7pm starting with the first race event in May. April race nights will start at 6pm.
- Championship first half of the season
- Special Shows the last half of the season
- WOO Late Model Show with Modifieds (June 29, 2025)
- Mods will raise the purse difference between Sportmod purse and Modified purse. Nodak agreed to pay the Sportmod purse when Mod drivers wanted to be the support class.
- Mods will be on DirtVision during the WOO Late Model show.
- $66,000 Purse for WOO paid by Nodak Race Club.
- $3300 back from DirtVision. Any potential sponsor would get coverage through the Announcer.
- We are tentatively on the 2026 Schedule for WOO Late Models.
- Discussed what happens in the event of a rainout, and would possibly do the following Monday.
- Discussed overflow parking to the east.
- Big O Tire, Auto Value-Williston, Auto Value-Minot, and Tuff Trucks to sell WOO tickets.
- The Club would also appreciate general members selling tickets.
- Secretary Holly Johnson will be tracking bundles of tickets you take to sell that you’d be responsible for.
- ND State Parade (July 19, 2025)
- Nodak Race Club and Nodak Hall of Fame will have floats in the ND State Parade this summer.
- Would like to have people walk with the floats, and cars on the trailers.
- All-Stars of August
- Special shows each weekend in August
- The Board of Directors is really trying to give back to the racers any profit we might make from the WOO Late Model show by having these events after the Fair break.
- Motor Magic
- No changes to format as last year was very successful with 100+ cars each night.
- INEX Legends Dirt Nationals in October
- INEX reached out to us to host this event
- May consider bringing in NOSA Sprints as a support class during this event, based on how the May 4th night with them goes.
- Slingshot Class
- Back for 6 nights this year and will have a Champion for the season.
- President Justin Medler indicated Nodak may not have the class in 2026 as they go too fast and are too dangerous when they rollover.
- State of the Track
- There will be a work night at the track this coming week on April 10th at 6:00pm to get ready for Practice. We need help to get everything finished.
- Track Equipment
- Last year $9,000 was spent on maintenance and repair to the cultivator.
- The Club has purchased a Heavy Hitch. Should arrive next week. It costs approx. $1250 per year to maintain
- Big Wheels is at Jim’s Welding to put a hitch on it to pull the packer at faster speeds.
- Big water truck is also repaired.
- Racing Surface
- Turn 4 has been reshaped significantly
- Catch fence in Turn 4 is still being built and needs to be finished
- Back straightaway is narrower with new slope
- New entrance off of Turn 2
- Paving the Pits
- NDSF putting in concrete by the hydrant.
- NDSF will be paving from the pit trailer to the Nodak building.
- The Race Club will be covering the cost of paving the tech area for consistent ride height measurement. We have the same tech guys as last year returning.
- Future of the Race Club

- Features are going to be utilized much more in 2025.
- New printer and computer was purchased for the Treasurer Kelly Duchsherer in order to pay checks to drivers the night of the event.
- Community Outreach & Events
- The club is part of the Minot Area Chamber of Commerce now.
- We will be doing Ribbon Cutting for the WOO Late Model show.
- Board is working with Visit Minot to put together a schedule for community appearance events local in Minot. If interested in having your car on display to promote Nodak and your sponsors, contact Secretary Holly Johnson.
- Nick Hulberg has resigned as Announcer for the 2025 Race Season.
- Kristi Rosselli-Sullivan and Brandon Beeter will be the announcers for 2025 and Keli Rosselli-Sullivan will be doing Victory Lane.
- Sponsors
- There are approx. four open Race Nights remaining for sponsors.
- The Board of Directors have been selling bulk flex tickets instead of nightly race sponsorships to several businesses.
- The All-Stars of August race nights also need sponsors to cover the purse, and could have multiple sponsors on one night. Looking for $10,000 to sponsor each event.
- Staybridge Suites will be where the Board of Directors will be holding weekly meetings now. The Clarion wanted to start charging us $200 to rent the room each week to hold the Board meetings.
- Auto Value – Minot has a CASH ONLY account that racers, general members, etc. can use to get a price break on parts, even for personal vehicle parts. Mention Nodak Race Club when you go to the store.
- Support Velocita during the Car Show. They donate and give back to the club significantly throughout the year.
- Volunteers
- The Race Club really needs help and volunteering from the general membership, and could be:
- track prep,
- walkers in the stands for 50/50 ticket sales for the Hall of Fame. This could be pulled from the class of cars that has the night off on rotation.

- Next Generation of Drivers and Fans
- Young racers are where the future of the club is at.
- Concerned about getting young fans in the stands. The Race Club gives out 10,000 kid tickets to local schools each year.
- Public Affairs Office at MAFB would be a place to pursue to inform young military members about racing at Nodak Speedway. Steve Pierce gave contact phone number (701-723-6212). The Vice President Robby Rosselli indicated that Keli Rosselli-Sullivan is already in communication with them.

- Ray Mock Benefit April 11th from 5-7pm at Bread of Life Lutheran Church. Members should support or donate as the Mock Family has been involved in the Race Club for decades.
- Secretary Holly Johnson is willing to listen to any ideas any general member has regarding what to post about on social media or what kind of information they are seeking at any time.
Next Meeting: The next general meeting will be on October 26, 2025 mid-day or early afternoon following the annual Awards Banquet on October 25th.
